Remodeling in Hollywood

Hollywood is one of the older cities in Broward County, and that shows once a wall is opened:

1Hollywood Lakes and the streets near downtown: houses from the 1920s through the 1950s, with plaster walls, original wiring and floors worth keeping
2Hollywood Hills and Emerald Hills: mid-century and later homes where owners want open plans, larger kitchens and updated baths
3Beachfront and Intracoastal condos: building rules decide the hours, the elevators and the water shut-offs, and we plan around them
4Older electrical and plumbing: a common finding in remodels here, which is why we look behind the surface before quoting a firm price

Budget

What General Contractor Hollywood FL Projects Cost

Budgets in Hollywood follow the Broward County market. For reference in 2026:

$Bathroom projects: from about $3,500 for a simple guest bath to $30,000 for a primary bath (Angi, 2026)
$$Kitchen projects: from about $15,000 for a refresh to $60,000 for a full mid-range remodel (Block Renovation, 2026)
$$$Multi-room and whole-house work: roughly $100 to $400 a square foot (Angi, House Remodel Cost, 2026)
+Luxury renovations: upward of $300 to $600 a square foot

With older houses we add a clearly labeled allowance for hidden conditions, so a surprise does not become an argument. See also what it costs to remodel a house.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you work as a general contractor in Hollywood, FL?
Yes. We run home remodeling projects in Hollywood and in Dania Beach, Hallandale Beach and Pembroke Pines, working out of Pompano Beach.
Do you remodel older houses?
Yes. A house several decades old usually needs its wiring, plumbing and plaster looked at along with the new finishes, and we plan the job with that in mind.
What does a remodel in Hollywood cost?
A bathroom starts around $3,500 and a kitchen around $15,000. Whole-house work is priced by area, at roughly $100 to $400 a square foot. Your written proposal follows a visit.
Who gets the permit?
Florida allows a permit to be pulled by a licensed contractor or by the homeowner acting as owner-builder. We point out the parts of the job that need one and schedule around the inspections.
Can we live in the house during the work?
Usually. We phase the job so a bathroom and somewhere to cook remain usable, and we tell you in advance which weeks will be disruptive.
How soon can you start?
It depends on the season and on material lead times. We give a start date in the proposal and order long-lead items first.
