Local

Kitchens in Delray Beach Homes and Condos

Three very different kitchens share the Delray Beach zip codes, and a fourth set of rules applies in the old neighborhoods:

1Cottages around Atlantic Avenue and Lake Ida: narrow rooms where every inch counts, often with uneven floors and walls that need straightening before a cabinet can hang true

2Mid-century ranch houses: a wall between the kitchen and the living room is the usual target, and it has to be checked for load, wiring and plumbing first

3Condos in Kings Point and along the beach: small galley kitchens rebuilt under association rules on hours, elevators and debris removal

4Historic districts such as Del-Ida Park: the kitchen itself is interior work, while a changed window or exterior door is reviewed by the city

Budget

What Kitchen Remodeling Delray Beach Projects Cost

A mid-range kitchen in South Florida generally comes in between $30,000 and $60,000, a little over the national $30,000 to $50,000 (Block Renovation, Kitchen Remodel Cost, 2026). In more detail:

$Cosmetic update: $15,000 to $30,000 buys refaced or new doors, new counters, a backsplash and lighting, all in the existing layout

$$Full replacement, same footprint: $25,000 to $60,000 for cabinets, quartz or granite, tile and fixtures

$$$Reconfigured kitchen: upward of $60,000, reaching $100,000 or more, when plumbing, the range or walls move

%Main cost drivers: labor at 40 to 60 percent and cabinetry at 25 to 35 percent of the total

Small kitchens cost less in materials but not always in labor, because the same trades still have to come through. See kitchen remodel cost and quartz vs granite countertops for the numbers behind each choice.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you remodel kitchens in Delray Beach?

Yes. Delray Beach is inside our regular service area, together with Boynton Beach, Highland Beach and Boca Raton. Reach us at (561) 207-0354.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Delray Beach?

About $15,000 to $30,000 for a cosmetic update, $25,000 to $60,000 for a full replacement in the same footprint and $60,000 or more for a reconfigured kitchen. We write up your price after measuring.

Can a small galley kitchen be opened up?

Often it can. The deciding factors are whether the wall is load-bearing and what runs inside it. In a condo the association must agree as well.

Can you remodel a kitchen in a condo?

Yes. We work to the building’s schedule, reserve the elevator for deliveries and remove debris the way the association requires.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

Five to eight weeks of construction is normal for a complete kitchen. The full timeline, with design and cabinet delivery, is usually 10 to 16 weeks.

Do I need a permit to remodel a kitchen in Delray Beach?

The City of Delray Beach requires a permit for moved plumbing or gas, added circuits and opened walls. A straight replacement of cabinets and counters usually does not need one. We identify the permitted work in the estimate.
